Lyrics: Michal Elia Kamal
Language: Hebrew
Being belong to several nations and cultures is a true blessing, yet sometimes it is also bringing up feelings of displacement, and not having a sense of belonging to a place or a home. Many motives in the song are symbols of freedom like clouds, a horse rejoicing, and horizon side by side sentences like: "I will carry my legs to the distant horizon/a thousand steps/As if they were wings". This suggests that the speaker is searching for a sense of place and is willing to go to great lengths to find it.
Finally, in the song, the speaker finds a sense of comfort and belonging in music. The song implies that music is a way for the artist/speaker to escape her feelings of displacement and not have a sense of belonging in the world. The reference to "the sounds fly far away" at the end of the poem also suggests that music can transport her to a place where he feels at home. Music is the one thing that gives her a sense of identity and fills the void left by not having a physical place to call home.
In addition, the phrase "And there aren't many words" at the end of the poem may imply that the speaker/artist finds it difficult to express her feelings about that sense of displacement but can express them through music.
Music is a powerful medium that can evoke emotions and create a sense of connection, the speaker finds comfort in the emotional connection she feels through music.
lyrics
Ein Li – I don’t have
Days pass over the city
Week race by
And sometimes oh sometimes
The clouds take shapes
I will open my eyes and rush
Like a horse rejoicing for a new day
And sometimes he goes wild
racing through the heart of the melody
because I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because, I don't have
I do not have a place
Except in melody
Because, I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because, I don't have
I do not have a place
Except in my soul
When the roads are not visible
My beats will guide the way
and the shadows and the lights
dancing over time
I will carry my legs to the distant horizon
a thousand steps
As if they were wings
and sometimes
God is my witness, sometimes
For a moment, I touched the sky
because I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because, I don't have
I do not have a place
Except in my soul
Because, I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because, I don't have
I do not have a place
Just a song and a melody
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh
because I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because, I don't have
I do not have a place
Except in my soul
Because, I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because, I don't have
I do not have a place
Just a song and a melody
And the sounds fly far away
fly far
And there aren't many words
Because I don't have
a place
No sea, no land
Because I don't have
I do not have a place
Just a song and a melody

i like this version better than the original. The middle part has that aggression that makes the excellent balance with the beginning and ending of the song. owlobo
the music is like the picture, full of power an warmth, remembering on celtic myth of fertility. There's even a song about St. Johns day (Rana na Ivana), the ancient summer solstice.

Like their earlier albums, Laboratorium Pieśni comes back with great vocals, with the added benefit of more instrumentals on the back of the track. It's a wonderful folk album, and I suggest giving it a listen. witcheroid
